CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Carolina's Steve Smith grabbed a short pass and sprinted 65 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and the Panthers held on Sunday for a 27-23 win over Arizona.

The scoring toss from Jake Delhomme with 2 seconds left in the third quarter, put the Panthers (6-2) in front 24-23.

Arizona then launched a drive that ended when Jon Beason picked off a Kurt Warner pass.

Carolina's John Kasay booted a 50-yard field goal that completed the scoring with 9:13 remaining in the game.

The Panthers then forced Arizona to punt with about 6 minutes to go and ran out the clock.

Smith finished with five receptions for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

Delhomme was 20-of-28 passing for 248 yards and two scores.

Warner completed 35-of-49 passes for 381 yards and two touchdowns for the Cardinals (4-3).

Anquan Boldin caught nine of Warner's passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Boldin also led Arizona in rushing with 30 yards.
