CARSON, Calif., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Dwayne De Rosario and Jim Curtin swapped goals Saturday when Chivas USA played the Houston Dynamo to a 1-1 tie in the MLS regular season finale for both teams.

De Rosario scored on a penalty kick in the 52nd minute for Houston. Curtin scored for Chivas USA in the 90th minute.

The Dynamo (13-5-12) finished first in the Western Conference and will take on either New York or D.C. United in the conference semifinals. D.C. can advance with a victory at Columbus Sunday, but a D.C. loss will send New York into the playoffs against Houston, the MLS two-time defending champion.

Chivas USA (12-11-7) opens its Western Conference semifinals series against Real Salt Lake Nov. 1.
