"It feels absolutely awesome," said Garcia. "I didn't play amazing and when Peter (Hedblom) had such a great start I thought these guys were not making it easy for me. It was something extremely special for me and my family."

He dedicated the victory to ailing countryman Seve Ballesteros. The European Tour star has had three surgeries this month on a cancerous brain tumor.

"Obviously he's going through tough times," Garcia added. "We're all there with him and hopefully this helps him get a little better."

Hedblom (66) was the runner-up at 17-under 267.

Sweden's Alexander Noren (65) finished third at 15-under 269, with three others sharing fourth place at 14-under 270.
