BASEL, Switzerland, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Swiss Roger Federer and second-seeded Argentine David Nalbandian face off Sunday in the final of the Swiss Indoors tennis tournament.

Federer defeated Spain's Feliciano Lopez in straight sets in Saturday's semifinals. Federer, two-time defending champion in his hometown, had 15 aces and 28-of-31 first service points to beat the unseeded Lopez 6-3, 6-2.

Lopez beat two Americans -- eighth-seeded Mardy Fish in the second round and fourth-seeded James Blake in the quarterfinals -- to set up his first matchup with Federer since last year's Madrid Masters.

David Nalbandian edged third-seeded Juan Martin del Potro, also in straight sets, in Saturday's other semifinal. Nalbandian avenged his straight-set loss to del Potro in the third round of last week's Madrid Masters with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Nalbandian, the Stockholm Open champ two weeks ago and the 2002 champion in this event, will play in his fourth Basel final.
