
MUNCIE, Ind., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Quarterback Nate Davis accounted for three touchdowns Saturday, helping No. 22 Ball State roll to a 38-16 victory against Eastern Michigan.
The junior from Bellaire, Ohio, completed 17-of-31 passes for 241 yards with TD throws to Briggs Orsbon and Darius Hill. Davis, who was intercepted once, added a second-quarter touchdown on a 4-yard pass from Orsbon, who finished with five catches for 47 yards.
Running back MiQuale Lewis ran for 75 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown.
Madaris Grant caught five passes for 92 yards for the unbeaten Cardinals (8-0, 4-0 Mid-American Conference).
Ball State had a 408-376 total yards advantage in its fifth straight win over their MAC opponent.
EMU quarterback Andy Schmitt went 28-of-49 passing for 309 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Wide receiver Tyler Jones scored once among his 11 receptions for 120 yards, while running back Terrence Blevins was held to just 33 yards on 13 carries for the Eagles (2-7, 1-4).
