
SUNRISE, Fla., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Cory Stillman had two goals, including the game-winner, Friday to lead the Florida Panthers to a 4-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks.
Stillman also had an assist and Keith Ballard had three assists for the Panthers, who hadn't beaten the Sharks since Feb. 9, 2000. Richard Zednik and Nathan Horton also scored for Florida.
Florida goalie Tomas Vokoun faced 50 shots, a club record for San Jose, but stopped 47 of them in the win for the Panthers.
Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton and Ryane Clowe scored for San Jose, which lost for just the second time this season.
Evgeni Nabokov gave up four goals on 35 shots in the loss for the Sharks, who allowed just four goals over their first four games this season, but have yielded 18 in four games since.
