Tommie Harris' wife dies

DETROIT, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Marian Hossa had two goals and an assist against his former team Friday to pace the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-3 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers.
Hossa, who spent two-plus seasons in Atlanta, went to Pittsburgh before the trade deadline last season and then signed a one-year deal with Detroit in the off-season.
Henrik Zetterberg had two goals and Dan Cleary also scored for the Red Wings, who have won five of their last six games. Chris Osgood made 30 saves in the win.
Brett Sterling, Ron Hainsey and Jim Slater each had a goal for the Thrashers, who have lost five of their last six games. Atlanta's Kari Lehtonen made 41 saves.
