ST. LOUIS, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- T.J. Oshie' goal in the fourth round of a shootout Saturday boosted the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
The loss spoiled the debut of Joel Quenneville, who replaced the fired Chicago Coach Denis Savard on Thursday, just four games into the 2008-09 season.
In regulation, Chris Porter, Keith Tkachuk, and Andy McDonald all scored once, with McDonald's tally knotting the contest 3-3 with just 14 seconds left in regulation.
St. Louis netminder Manny Legace stopped 23-of- shots in regulation and earned his fourth win this season.
The Blackhawks got two goals and one assist from Patrick Kane.
Brian Campbell added a goal and an assist, while Chicago goalie Nikolay Khabibulin yielded three goals on 29 shots.
There were eight penalties in the contest, evenly divided.
