ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 38 saves Friday to record the 30th shutout of his career and give Anaheim its first win of the season -- 4-0 over San Jose.

The Ducks were the last team in the NHL to record a point this year and San Jose suffered its first loss.

Giguere produced one of the best goaltending performances of the young season. He did not allow a goal against a team that had scored 13 times in its first four games.

Buffalo, Edmonton and Minnesota are the only unbeaten teams remaining in the NHL.

Francois Beauchemin opened the scoring with 1:47 remaining in the first period with a slap shot that beat Evgeni Nabokov.

Travis Moen added a goal in the second and Chris Pronger and Samuel Pahlsson scored in the third.

Anaheim produced its four goals on just 20 shots.
