BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Kellen Moore threw two of his three touchdown passes in the third quarter to break open a close game Friday and lead No. 16 Boise State past Hawaii 27-7.

The Broncos remained one of nine current unbeaten teams in major college football, advancing to 6-0 for the season and to 2-0 in the Western Athletic Conference. Hawaii fell to 3-4 and 2-2.

Boise State has a 54-4 league record since joining the WAC.

Hawaii trailed by only three points at halftime, but quarterback Inoke Funaki was intercepted on each of the Warriors' first two possessions of the third quarter. Moore turned both the turnovers into touchdowns.

Moore threw scoring passes of 12 yards to Julian Hawkins and 16 yards to Austin Pettis to give Boise State a 24-7 lead midway through the third.

The Broncos' first touchdown came on a 2-yard throw from Moore to Richie Brockel in the second period. Moore threw for 235 yards and Funaki was intercepted five times overall.

Kyle Brotzman kicked two field goals for the Broncos, but he missed two other attempts.
