FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Andy Dalton, having missed two games with a shoulder injury, threw two touchdown passes Thursday in guiding No. 24 TCU to a 32-7 whipping of eighth-ranked BYU.

The surprisingly easy decision knocked the Cougars from the ranks of the unbeaten, leaving nine major college teams without a loss this season.

TCU jumped to a 24-0 lead at intermission, the first time in three years BYU had gone scoreless in a half.

Dalton opened the scoring by hitting Jimmy Young with a 25-yard throw on the Horned Frogs' first possession and he threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Walter Bryant with 66 seconds to go in the first half.

Jeremy Kerley and Joseph Turner added rushing touchdown for TCU (7-1, 4-0 Mountain West Conference).

BYU quarterback Max Hall, who had thrown 20 touchdown passes coming into the game, scored on a two-yard run in the third period. The Cougars fell to 7-1, 3-1. Hall was picked off twice after having thrown just four interceptions in the first seven games.

Those teams remaining with unbeaten records are Tulsa, Ball State, Boise State, Alabama, Utah, Penn State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and top-ranked Texas.
