NEW YORK, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

Jones will miss at least four games for violating a reinstatement arrangement. He was involved in an altercation with a personal security guard at a Dallas hotel last week.

While the Cowboys didn't discipline Jones ahead of last week's game against Arizona, NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell handed down the suspension Tuesday. Goodell, in a letter to Jones regarding the suspension, called the hotel incident "a disturbing pattern of behavior and clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."

The NFL said Jones's suspension would be reviewed after the Cowboys' Nov. 16 game at Washington.

Jones, who used to be known by the nickname "Pacman," was reinstated by Goodell prior to this season after a one-year suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Jones has had several run-ins with various legal authorities since he joined the NFL in 2005 with the Tennessee Titans.
