LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Lukas Kaspar scored the game's lone goal Sunday night in the San Jose Sharks' 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Kings.
Kaspar broke through at 9:56 of the second period after assists by Patrick Marleau and Christian Ehrhoff.
Goaltender Brian Boucher stopped the 21 shots he faced in the Sharks' third straight victory without a loss at the start of the 2008-09 season.
Los Angeles had managed just 13 shots in a season-opening 3-1 loss in San Jose Saturday night.
Jason LaBarbera gave up the one goal on 19 shots in Sunday's game but the Kings never created a decent scoring opportunity.
