Kentucky WR Lyons suffers knee injury

LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Kentucky wide receiver Dicky Lyons Jr. has ended his college career because he seriously injured his knee during a loss to South Carolina on Saturday.

Kentucky Coach Rich Brooks announced Monday that the senior tore a posterior cruciate ligament and also suffered a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee while being tackled in the second quarter of the game. After the swelling subsides he will have surgery.
