ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Shane Doan scored twice Sunday night, keying a 4-2 Phoenix Coyotes victory over the Anaheim Ducks.

The right wing's first goal at 1:51 of the second period created a 1-1 tie. His second goal, on the power play at 16:20 of the third, gave Phoenix what turned out to be an insurmountable 4-1 lead.

Mikkel Boedker and Kyle Turris scored once each.

Steve Reinprecht had two assists, while goalie Ilya Bryzgalov was credited with 33 saves on 35 shots for the Coyotes, winners of their first two games in the new NHL season.

It was the first career goal for Boedker, the eighth overall pick in the 2008 NHL entry draft.

The Coyotes' two-goal winning margin marked the first time in the last seven contests between the clubs that it was not a one-goal game.

Anaheim got one goal apiece from Ryan Carter in the second and George Parros in the third.

Ducks' goaltender Jean-Sebastian Giguere allowed four goals on 24 shots.
