KANSAS CITY, Kan., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Jimmy Conrad scored the game's only goal Saturday and the Kansas City Wizards took a big step toward the MLS playoffs with a 1-0 victory over New England.

Conrad scored his sixth goal of the season in the 61st minute when he headed a corner kick by Jack Jewsbury into the net.

The win lifted the Wizards (9-10-9) into a tie with Red Bull New York for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Revolution (12-9-7) has already nailed down a playoff berth, but could fall into third place in the East, depending on the outcome of Sunday's game between the Chicago Fire and the Columbus Crew.
