COL FB: Southern Cal 28, Arizona St. 0

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Joe McKnight rushed for 143 yards on 11 carries Saturday to lead ninth-ranked Southern California to a 28-0 win over Arizona State.

Mark Sanchez completed only 13-of-26 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions for the Trojans (4-1, 2-1 Pac-10), but also ran for a touchdown.

Ronald Johnson led the USC receivers with 71 yards on three catches. Damian Williams added a touchdown reception and Stafon Johnson rushed for a TD.

Arizona State's Rudy Carpenter, playing with a sprained left ankle, completed 11-of-20 passes for 126 yards for the Sun Devils (2-4, 1-2), who have lost four games in a row.

Dimitri Nance rushed for 64 yards and Michael Jones made four catches for 51 yards for Arizona State.
