
LAWRENCE, Kan., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Jake Sharp ran for three touchdowns Saturday to help 15th-ranked Kansas overcome pesky Colorado 30-14 for its 13th straight home-field victory.
Sharp, who scored once in the second quarter and twice in the fourth, finished with 31 carries for 118 yards.
Quarterback Todd Reesing completed 27-of-34 passes for 256 yards, one touchdown pass and no interceptions.
Dezmon Briscoe scored once on five catches for 48 yards, and Kerry Meier added nine receptions for 94 yards for the Jayhawks (5-1, 2-0 Big 12), who held a 407-233 advantage in total yards.
They bounced back from a 7-0 first-quarter deficit and their defense held Colorado to 86 rushing yards.
Colorado's Cody Hawkins completed 8-of-22 passes for 90 yards with one touchdown pass and two interceptions. He also rushed for a score.
Rodney Stewart gained 77 yards on 18 carries, and wide receiver Cody Crawford made four catches for 33 yards for the Buffaloes (3-3, 0-2), who have lost three in a row.
