The Rangers also won by a 2-1 score in the season-opener for both teams Saturday. Both games were played in Prague.

Redden and Gomez scored in the second period, eight minutes apart.

Tampa Bay, which was outshot 39-19 in the game, had taken a 1-0 advantage late in the first period on a goal by Adam Hall.

Lightning goaltender Olaf Kolzig totaled 37 saves. The Rangers' Henrik Lundqvist had 18.
