JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Ben Roethlisberger hit Hines Ward with a late scoring pass Sunday, lifting the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 26-21 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After taking the Steelers on a drive in which he twice fought off tacklers to complete passes, Roethlisberger floated a pass that Ward grabbed in the right rear corner of the end zone with under 2 minutes to play.
The Steelers (4-1) then held Jacksonville, got the ball back and ran out the clock.
Roethlisberger passed for 309 yards and three touchdowns in Pittsburgh's fourth win in five games.
Nate Washington and Heath Miller caught the other touchdown passes and Mewelde Moore carried 17 times for 99 yards for the Steelers.
David Garrard was 18-of-32 passing for 200 yards and a touchdown for the Jaguars (2-3).
Maurice-Jones Drew ran for one score and Marcedes Lewis caught a pass for another for Jacksonville.
