BLACKSBURG, Va., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Darren Evans rushed for two touchdowns Saturday in 24th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies' 27-13 victory over Western Kentucky.

Evans had 21 carries for 79 yards and Tyrod Taylor completed 10-of-15 passes with 125 yards and a touchdown for the Hokies (5-1), who have won five straight since losing their season opener. Taylor also had 30 yards on 10 carries.

Dexter Taylor had 14 carries for 96 yards and David Wolke was 7-of-19 for 49 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Hilltoppers (2-4).
