
AMES, Iowa, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Todd Reesing threw three touchdown passes Saturday to help No. 16 Kansas overcome a 20-0 halftime deficit en route to a 35-33 win over Iowa State.
Alexander Robinson scored on a 16-yard, first-quarter run, Austen Arnaud threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Marquis Hamilton, and Grant Mahoney booted two second-quarter field goals to give Iowa State its big halftime advantage.
Reesing finished with 18 completions in 26 pass attempts for 319 yards, with two touchdown passes in the third and one in the fourth. He also threw one interception.
Receiver Kerry Meier scored twice after seven catches for 125 yards, and running back Joe Sharp scored once on three catches for 107 yards and added another touchdown on 19 carries for 79 yards for the Jayhawks (4-1, 1-0 Big 12).
Arnaud completed 27-of-45 passes for 268 yards with three touchdowns and R.J. Sumrall scored once on 10 receptions for 106 yards for the Cyclones (2-3, 0-1), who have dropped three in a row.
