COL FB: Alabama 17, Kentucky 14

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Glen Coffey ran for 218 yards and Alabama's only offensive touchdown Saturday to lead the No. 4 Crimson Tide to a 17-14 victory over Kentucky.

John Parker Wilson connected on only 7-of-17 passes for 106 yards and an interception for Alabama (6-0, 3-0 SEC). Julio Jones had three receptions for 52 yards, while Mark Ingram rushed for 66 yards on 11 carries.

The Crimson Tide limited the Wildcats to just 35 yards rushing. Rolando McClain recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown for Alabama.

Mike Hartline hit 20-of-42 passes for 241 yards with two touchdowns, an interception and a fumble for Kentucky (4-1, 0-1). Dicky Lyons Jr. caught six passes for 63 yards and a TD for the Wildcats, whose defense led the nation with a yield of 5.5 points per game before Saturday.
