DENVER, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Federal officials announced Wednesday that former Denver running back Travis Henry had been arrested on drug charges.

Jeffrey D. Sweetin, special agent in charge of the Rocky Mountain Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration, said Henry and another man were arrested Tuesday after a multi-kilogram cocaine transaction.

The deal allegedly took place in Centennial, Colo. Both subjects were being held pending the filing of charges in U.S. district court in Denver.

Henry appeared in 12 games for Denver last season and rushed for 691 yards and four touchdowns. He was released by the Broncos on June 2. He had a seven-year NFL career with Buffalo, Tennessee and the Broncos and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2002.
