DUI hearing delayed for Titans' Kearse

Published: Sept. 30, 2008 at 9:36 PM

NASHVILLE, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse's lawyer said a preliminary hearing for the player's drunken driving charge has been delayed until Jan. 6.

Roger May, Kearse's lawyer, said he and the district attorney agreed to postpone the hearing after both sides said they had not yet seen all of the evidence in the case, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Tuesday.

May said neither the defense nor the prosecution have yet been shown video of Kearse's June 22 arrest by Vanderbilt University Police.

Kearse is charged with driving under the influence and refusing a breath test.
