SEATTLE, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Washington University quarterback Jake Locker will be out for up to eight weeks after breaking his right thumb Saturday.

Locker had surgery Monday to repair the fracture that he sustained in the second quarter of a 35-28 loss to Stanford.

In four games, Locker passed for 512 yards and a touchdown and ran for 180 yards and three touchdowns.

Redshirt freshman Ronnie Fouch will take over at quarterback for the 0-4 Huskies when they face Arizona in Tucson Saturday.
