MLS: FC Dallas 3, D.C. United 0

FRISCO, Texas, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- FC Dallas got an early goal from Andre Rocha and went on to shut out D.C. United 3-0 Sunday in Major League Soccer.

Rocha scored on a lengthy free kick 9 minutes into the match.

Jeff Cunningham and Kenny Cooper also scored for the Hoops. Cunningham deflected a shot past goalkeeper Louis Crayton in the 56th minute and Cooper fired a shot into the net during stoppage time, his 15th goal of the season.

Dallas (8-9-9) next has a match at home against San Jose Thursday. D.C. United (10-13-3) also will be on its home field, taking on Chivas USA Saturday.
