
BALTIMORE, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Vernon Wells had four hits and five RBI Sunday, powering the Toronto Blue Jays' 10-1 rout of the Baltimore Orioles.
In the last game this season for both clubs, Wells homered twice, one a three-run, fifth-inning shot, the other a second-inning, solo homer. He added an RBI single in the third.
Five other Toronto players drove in one run apiece.
Marco Scutaro had three hits and two others had two hits for the Blue Jays, who won twice in the three-game series.
Winning pitcher Jesse Litsch (13-9) gave up a run and three hits in seven innings with a walk and five strikeouts.
Baltimore averted a shutout on Melvin Mora's RBI double in the bottom of the sixth.
Nick Markakis had three of the five hits for the Orioles, who finished with a 68-93 record after losing 11 of their final 12 games.
The losing pitcher was starter Jeremy Guthrie (10-12).
