PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- So Taguchi led Philadelphia's regular season-ending 8-3 win over Washington Sunday with three hits and three RBI.

The reserve left fielder got a start because Philadelphia rested its starters a day after wrapping up its second straight National League East title.

One of two hits for catcher Lou Marson was a two-run, eighth-inning homer.

Matt Stairs followed Marson's first career homer with a solo shot and Eric Bruntlett added two hits and one RBI for the Phillies, who ended the regular season with 13 wins in their final 16 games.

The winning pitcher was reliever Les Walrond (1-1).

Washington got one RBI from three players, including catcher Luke Montz, who hit his first major league homer in the third inning.

The losing pitcher was starter Odalis Perez (7-12).
