CHICAGO, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Asdrubal Cabrera's two hits and three RBI Saturday propelled the Cleveland Indians' 12-6 win over the Chicago White Sox.

The loss prevented the White Sox from gaining ground on AL Central Division leader Minnesota, which lost 4-2 to Kansas City Saturday.

Shin-Soo Choo had two hits, including a solo homer in the top of the first. Jamey Carroll hit a two-run double in the fifth for the Indians, who assured themselves of at least a .500 record with their 81st win this season.

Winning pitcher Zach Jackson (2-3) gave up two earned runs and three hits in seven innings.

Chicago's Paul Konerko homered twice and drove in three runs. Jermaine Dye hit a solo first-inning homer and a sacrifice fly in the eighth and Jim Thome had one RBI in the fifth straight defeat for the White Sox.

The losing pitcher was starter Javier Vazquez (12-16).
