BALTIMORE, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Brandon Fahey's fourth-inning sacrifice fly gave Baltimore a rain-shortened, seven-inning 2-1 win against Toronto, snapping its 10-game losing streak.
The contest was called after the teams waited out a 90-minute rain delay with Toronto batting in the top of the seventh inning.
Fahey's sacrifice fly snapped a 1-1 tie. Melvin Mora had a third-inning RBI single and the Orioles got two hits each from Alex Cintron and Oscar Salazar.
Winning pitcher Brian Bass (4-4) yielded an earned run and three hits in six innings.
Toronto scored on Brad Wilkerson's second-inning solo homer. Three others had one hit for the Blue Jays, who have lost four of their last six games.
The losing pitcher was former Oriole starter John Parrish (1-1).
