Fleisher has 66, leads SAS Championship

CARY, N.C., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Bruce Fleisher turned in a 6-under 66 Saturday to take a one-shot lead after the second-round of the seniors SAS Championship.

The 18-time Champions Tour winner had six birdies over his last 14 holes to move to 10-under 134. Tom Kite (66) and Eduardo Romero (67) share second place at 135.

This is the first time in more than two years that the 59-year-old Fleisher has held a second-round lead on the Champions Tour.

Kite, the 1992 U.S. Open champion, collected six birdies in his last nine holes. Romero is the reigning U.S. Senior Open champion.

Mark McNulty (63) was tied for 136 with John Cook (66).
