ST. LOUIS, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- St. Louis Rams running back Antonio Pittman will be out of action for four to six weeks because of a cracked fibula he suffered Sunday.
Rams Coach Scott Linehan said Pittman suffered the injury on a special teams play early in a 37-13 loss at Seattle.

"It wasn't a contact thing. It looked like he just twisted it," said Linehan. "But it does look like he will be out for a bit."
Pittman, the primary backup to Steven Jackson, has carried the ball just once this season.
Linehan said Brian Leonard will step into the backup role.
