Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft


BEIJING, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Seventh-seeded Daniela Hantuchova was a straight-set winner Monday in first-round play at the $600,000 China Open in Beijing.
Hantuchova had little trouble in getting by Gisela Dulko 6-3, 6-1. She didn't face a break point in the match and won more than half of the points during Dulko's service games.
Ninth-seeded Carolina Wozniacki was ousted, dropping a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 match with Anabel Medina Garrigues and Amelie Mauresmo fell to Dominika Cibulkova 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in Monday's other matches.
World No. 2 Jelena Jankovic is the top seed for the Beijing hard-court tournament, which runs through Sunday and is worth $95,500 to the winner.
