SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Alecko Eskandarian scored the game's only goal Saturday, giving Chivas USA a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake.

His game-winner came with less than 20 minutes to play when the newly acquired Sacha Victorine played a free kick into the RSL penalty area before RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando collided with defender Nate Borchers.

The ball bounced past them to Eskandarian, who then dribbled into the wide open net for his third goal this season.

Its first home loss this season dropped RSL into a third-place tie with Colorado in the Western Conference.

RSL (8-10-7) will play its final three home matches of the regular season at its new soccer-specific stadium in Sandy, Utah.

Chivas USA (9-10-6) will try to further solidify its spot in the top three in the West when it hosts Kansas City next Saturday.
