ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Garret Anderson's three hits and three RBI Saturday keyed the LA Angels' 7-3 win over the Texas Rangers.
The victory was the Angels' third straight.
Anderson launched a third inning two-run homer and hit an RBI single in the seventh.
Brandon Wood had two hits and one RBI.
A run scored on a fielding error by losing pitcher Vicente Padilla (13-8) in the sixth, while Erick Aybar added two hits and scored three times for the AL West champion Angels, who have won eight of their last 10 games.
The winning pitcher was reliever Justin Speier (2-8).
Closer Francisco Rodriguez retired the final batter in the bottom of the ninth to record his 60th save this season.
Texas' Hank Blalock had four hits and one RBI.
Chris Davis and Joaquin Arias knocked in one run each.
Marlon Byrd had two hits and four others one in the Rangers' third straight defeat.
The Angels have a 10-5 lead in the season series.
