ATLANTA, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Martin Prado hit a two-run double in a four-run eighth inning Sunday to lead Atlanta's come-from-behind 7-6 win over the New York Mets.
Jeff Francoeur hit an RBI triple in the big rally and both players finished with three hits.
Prado knocked in three runs and three others had one RBI for the Braves, who have won 11 of their last 18 games against New York.
Despite their success against the Mets, they will miss the postseason for a second straight season.
The winning pitcher was reliever Jorge Julio (3-0).
Closer Mike Gonzalez earned his 13th save despite giving up two runs in the top of the ninth.
New York's Carlos Delgado had four hits, one a two-run ninth inning homer, and three RBI.
David Wright had two hits, one a two-run second inning homer, and three runs scored.
Luis Castillo added an RBI for the Mets, whose chances of overtaking NL East-leading Philadelphia suffered a severe blow.
The losing pitcher was Scott Schoeneweis (2-5).
