
TORONTO, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Marco Scutaro and Alex Rios knocked in two runs each Saturday, keying Toronto's 6-3 win over the Boston Red Sox.
Scutaro hit a two-run double in the second inning, and Rios hit an RBI single in the first and a fielder's choice RBI groundout in the second.
One Scott Rolen's two hits was a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth.
Jose Bautista also drove in a run and was one of four players with two hits for the Blue Jays, who had lost three of their previous four games against Boston.
Winning pitcher Roy Halladay (19-11) surrendered three earned runs on six hits in six innings. Closer B.J. Ryan, the last of four Toronto pitchers, earned his 32nd save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
One of two hits for Boston's Jason Bay was a two-run, third-inning homer.
David Ortiz had one RBI as the Red Sox slipped two games behind American League East-leading Tampa Bay.
The losing pitcher was starter Jon Lester (15-6).
