COL FB: Wake Forest 12, Florida State 3

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Sam Swank made four field goals Saturday to give 18th-ranked Wake Forest a 12-3 victory over 25th-ranked Florida State.

Riley Skinner was 17-of-29 for 217 yards passing for the Demon Deacons (3-0, 1-0 ACC), whose defense made five interceptions.

D'Vontrey Richardson completed just 6-of-18 passes for 66 yards and two interceptions , but led the losing Seminoles (2-1, 0-1) with 46 yards rushing on eight carries. Florida State's Graham Gano had a field goal in the third quarter.

Florida State's starting quarterback Christian Ponder was also 6-of-18 for 52 yards and was intercepted three times.
