
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Colt McCoy had 412 yards and five touchdowns passing and running Saturday to lead seventh-ranked Texas to a 52-10 victory over the Rice Owls.
McCoy passed for passed for 329 yards and four touchdowns and rushed eight times for 83 yards and a another touchdown for the Longhorns (3-0).
Jordan Shipley had five catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns for Texas, which was coming off an unexpected bye week after Hurricane Ike forced the postponement of its game against Arkansas, which has been rescheduled for September 27.
Quan Cosby added seven catches for 90 yards, and John Chiles rushed for 72 yards on 10 carries and a TD for the Longhorns.
Chase Clement completed 25-of-37 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown for Rice (2-2) which had to relocate to Nashville last week due to Hurricane Ike. Jarett Dillard had nine catches for 158 yards and a score for the Owls.
