The Indians rallied from a 5-2 deficit over the final two innings to win their fourth in a row.

Shin-Soo Choo's second homer of the game, a three-run shot in the eighth, lifted Cleveland into a 5-5 tie and the Indians won it in the ninth.

Freddy Dolsi (1-5) hit Kelly Shoppach with a pitch to open the ninth, after which Barfield ran for Shoppach and Bobby Seay relieved Dolsi. Travis Hafner struck out, but pinch-hitter Ryan Garko singled off Gary Glover, who had come in to replace Seay.

With runners on first and third, Carroll hit a long drive to right that was ruled a single.

Miguel Cabrera hit two home runs and had four RBI for Detroit.

Rafael Perez (4-3) got the win by retiring the last batter in the top of the ninth.
