CINCINNATI, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Joey Votto and Jay Bruce both had two home runs Friday, sending Cincinnati to an 11-2 romp over Milwaukee.

The Brewers' loss allowed the Chicago Cubs to clinch at least a share of the National League Central title.

Cincinnati won for the fifth time in six games and the Brewers have lost 10 out of 12, putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy. Milwaukee began the game 1 1/2 games out of the lead in the NL wild card race.

Jerry Hairston Jr., Jolbert Cabrera and Andy Phillips also homered for the Reds and Ramon Ramirez (1-0) got the win, giving up two runs on seven hits in six innings. It was his first big league victory.

Jeff Suppan (10-10) took the loss, giving up five runs on five hits in just two innings.

Votto hit a three-run homer in the first and Bruce contributed a two-run shot later in the inning. Votto had a solo homer in the third and Bruce hit one of his own in the seventh.
