PHOENIX, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Dan Haren scattered four hits and two walks Tuesday, going the distance in Phoenix's 2-0 shutout of San Francisco.
Haren struck out 12 Giants to end his four-start winless streak and improve to 15-8.
The Diamondbacks' offense came in the form of solo homers by Chris Snyder and Stephen Drew.
The win kept Arizona 4 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West.
The Giants' Matt Cain was slapped with the loss, falling to 8-13 after giving up the two home runs among seven hits. He struck out seven and didn't issue a walk.
Pablo Sandoval had two of the Giants' four hits.
