CINCINNATI, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Edwin Encarnacion hit a three-run double and Corey Patterson had two RBI Tuesday to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 7-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bronson Arroyo (15-10) gave up two run on five hits in seven innings for the victory.
The loss was hung on Braden Looper (12-13), who gave up four runs on six hits and a walk.
Troy Glaus and Aaron Miles each had two hits, including a home run, for the Cardinals, who have lost dropped six in a row. Glaus hit his 24th homer of the year.
