CLEVELAND, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Scott Lewis pitched six shutout innings and Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run homer Monday to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 3-1 win over Minnesota.

Lewis (2-0) made his second career start and has still not allowed a run. The rookie tossed eight scoreless innings on Sept. 10 against Baltimore, and Monday gave up just three hits and two walks, with five strikeouts.

Choo had two hits and Kelly Shoppach added a solo homer for the Indians. Rafael Betancourt and Rafael Perez each threw a scoreless inning of relief while Jensen Lewis gave up a homer by Joe Mauer but earned his ninth save of the season.

Kevin Slowey (12-10) took the loss after allowing three runs on seven hits in six innings. Delmon Young had three hits for the Twins.
