Baltimore's Oscar Salazar hit a three-run third-inning homer. Adam Jones had two hits and two RBI, Aubrey Huff knocked in a run and Brian Roberts had three hits, while Melvin Mora added two hits in the Orioles eighth loss in their last 10 games.

Losing pitcher Garrett Olson (9-8) gave up six earned runs and five hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Minnesota won the opener 12-2.
