
DENVER, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Clayton Kershaw gave up a run and four hits in six innings Saturday to lead the LA Dodgers to a 5-1 victory against the Colorado Rockies.
Kershaw (4-5) walked two batters, struck out seven, and threw 57 of 90 pitches for strikes. The earned run Kershaw gave up came on Clint Barmes' two-out third-inning single.
Russell Martin hit a fourth-inning RBI single and an RBI groundout in the sixth. One of two hits for Angel Berroa was a fourth-inning RBI double, and Casey Blake hit a second-inning solo homer for the NL West-leading Dodgers, who have won three straight and nine of their last 10 contests.
Barmes had two of the five hits in the Rockies' sixth straight loss.
Losing pitcher Jorge De La Rosa (8-8) surrendered four earned runs and seven hits in five innings with three walks and five strikeouts.
