KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Davy Arnaud had a goal and an assist and Josh Wolff scored for Kansas City Saturday when the Wizards beat Los Angeles 2-0.

The victory followed four straight Kansas City losses and ran the Galaxy's winless streak to 12 matches.

With the win, combined with Toronto FC's 1-1 tie with Columbus Saturday, Kansas City (7-9-8) escaped from the Eastern Conference cellar.

The Galaxy (6-10-8) is mired in last place in the Western Conference with the worst record in the league. LA hasn't won a match since June 14 -- a stretch of 91 days.
