FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Steve Ralston scored a late goal Thursday and assisted on two others in leading New England to a 4-0 whipping of Chivas USA.

The Revolution (12-7-5) won for just the second time in seven games and took over second place in the Eastern Conference.

The game was scoreless until Taylor Twellman got behind the defense and converted a perfect pass from Ralston in the 53rd minute. New England then scored three times during the final seven minutes of regulation and stoppage time -- the goals coming from Jeff Larentowicz, Khano Smith and Ralston.

Chivas USA had won its previous two outings.
