
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Eugenio Velez' two-run triple in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday lifted San Francisco to 4-3 win over Arizona, completing a three-game sweep.
Earlier, the rookie second baseman hit a two-run third inning double, giving him all four RBI and his game winning hit was off losing pitcher Brandon Lyon (2-5) with two outs in the ninth.
Randy Winn had three hits and Benjie Molina two in the Giants' fourth win in a row.
The winning pitcher was Alex Hinshaw (2-1), the last of five San Francisco pitchers.
Starter Brad Hennessey yielded an earned run and four hits in six innings.
Arizona scored on Stephen Drew's third inning solo homer and Chris Young's ninth inning two-run ninth inning triple.
Four others had one hit for the struggling Diamondbacks, whose losing streak grew to five consecutive games.
Starter Dan Haren surrendered two runs -- one earned -- and six hits in four innings.
